First Day - Saratoga Sky
The first day of January, 2008 was a special day. First night, the evening before was spectacular, but what made this first day special was that it snowed.
The snow put a fresh touch to everything and turned all of Congress Park into a fairyland. Normally the city workers would have cleared the walks, and salted the roadways. However, this first day was special and the new snow covered the city till nightfall.
This is an image looking at the skyline of Saratoga. The image is from the area behind and above the "Spirit of Life" statue. I took a bit of license with the colors actually the morning was somewhat gray.
The original watercolor is 18 X 26 inches unmated.
